Wendy Marvell is a young female Dragon Slayer Mage, formerly belonging to the Cait Shelter Guild. After the events surrounding Nirvana unfold, she officially joins the Fairy Tail Guild. She learned her Dragon Slayer abilities from Grandeeney.

History
Appearance
Wendy is a cute little girl with long, dark blue hair and brown eyes. Like all the Dragon Slayers, her canine teeth are a bit longer than other people's. She generally wears loose fitting and bare-back dresses and sandals with wing designs possibly to denote that she is the sky dragon slayer. More Images can be found in Bonus Gallery.

Charle
Similar to Natsu and Happy, Charle is Wendy's companion and always are together since Charle's birth. Charle is very protective of Wendy, being her chaperon and not her pet. Charle believes that she was protecting Wendy from her "mission". Wendy and Natsu are really good friends. Natsu was the reason of Wendy to accept being part of the Light Alliance, since Wendy hoped that Natsu will know about Grandeeney's whereabouts. Since Wendy is very young, Natsu seems to care of her like a little sister. Mystogan
Jellal Fernandes
Wendy is the one who revived Jellal after the Tower of Heaven incident, having mistaken him for Mystogan. Since Jellal lost his memory, he could not tell her mistake. After the Council Army arrives Jellal apologizes to Wendy for not being able to remember her, but Jellal was happy to think he saved someone in the past. Mest GryderEdit
Wendy accepted being Mest's partner because he told her he is Mystogan's former disciple (which is a lie). During the Trial they lost during the first part of the exam and Wendy cries at not being able to help, but Mest tries to comfort her by suggesting to go to explore. Synopsis
Tower of Heaven arc
She is first mentioned in a conversation between the dragons Igneel and Grandeeney in which the latter says a more "friendly relationship" could be established the next time she and Natsu Dragneel meet.[3] Oración Seis arcEdit
Hibiki carries her as Lucy, Charle, Happy and he follows Natsu and Erza who are heading for Nirvana.[20] However they're stopped by Angel who attacks them, Hibiki is wounded and Lucy orders Charle to take Wendy away for fear of her getting recaptured.[21] It is later shown that Wendy and Charle hide themselves for the time being, while Lucy faces of agaisnt Angel. Wendy having regain consciousness though still feeling remorse for not being more useful. As Charle and she talk, Wendy reveals her acquaintance with Jellal and the rumors she heard about his Siegrain half. She however still believes Jellal is the kind young man she once knew (it was actually Mystogan).[22]
When Nirvana's second stage is activated, she and Charle are caught in when its legs appear from out of the ground. Charle carries away, and Wendy says they should head for Nirvana.[23][24] As they land to take a rest, Wendy realizes that Nirvana might be heading toward Cait Shelter.[25] With this, she goes to find Natsu and she cures him of poison and she uses a spell to temporarily cure his motion sickness.[26] Wendy still believes that its her fault that Nirvana got activated and thinks that Jellal might know something on how to stop it. So she tells the others that she has some clue and ran off.[27] Both Wendy and Charle are looking for Jellal while reassuring herself of Nirvana's destination to Cait Shelter, but Charle is too exhausted to fly, so they continue on foot.[28] Wendy and Charle are then seen rushing towards Erza and Jellal looking relieved while Zero is introduced as Brain's second persona, and easily defeats Natsu, Gray and Lucy.[29]
Edolas arcEdit
Later, she is both shocked and happy that Lucy Ashley is showing them the way to the capital.[53] While on their journey, Wendy and company purchase Magical weapons from a black market as she is unable to use her Dragon Slayer Magic in Edolas.[54] As the group is about to be arrested by Royal Soldiers, Wendy opens up a capsule that unleashes a giant tornado, carrying the group away and enabling them to hide from the soldiers. She is then stunned when the group spies the Earth Land Lucy being arrested in place of Lucy Ashley, but they all manage to escape, thanks to Lucy being able to use her keys.[55]
Later, Wendy is captured by Erza Knightwalker along with Natsu and Lucy.[58] She is then imprisoned, and is shocked to hear that Lucy is to be executed and refuses to believe that Charle and Happy have betrayed them.[59][60] After that, she and Natsu are hooked up to a stone with a dragon carved onto it, apparently to extract their Dragon Slayer Magic properties.[61] She is then rescued by Gray and Lucy, and tearfully tells them that the Dragon Slayer Magic is supposed to move the giant lacrima, and is meant to be a bomb to crash into Extalia fusing the Exceed's Magic to the Lacrima and creating endless Magic for Edolas.[62]
When Natsu shows up, the group decides to split into two. Wendy tells Charle that the two of them are going to stop the lacrima from hitting Extalia. Charle does not agree saying she doesn't care about the Exceed. Wendy just tells her that it doesn't matter who they are since they are still living creatures.[63]
Then, Wendy did her best to try to push back the lacrima bomb along with the other Mages and all the Exceed. They managed to hold off the projectile until Mystogan revealed himself and sent all the trapped Mages home via Anima.[65] When the King revealed his Dorma Anim armored dragon, she, Natsu and Gajeel launched a unified assault that knocked the dragon off it's feet.[66] They then proclaimed that they would handle things while the other protected the cats and dealt with Knightwalker.[67] Wendy casts a spell on Natsu and Gajeel while they fight with the Dorma Anim, making them faster and another one to make them stronger, the king then fires some tracking missiles after Wendy but Natsu intercepts and destroys them. When the king is about to shoot again, Gajeel hits the missiles before launch, but gets hit by the tail of the Dragon Knight. A group of missiles is fired again, but these ones explode before Natsu can hit them. The king gets surprised when Natsu eats the fire of the explosions while Gajeel starts eating the tail of the Dorma. Suddenly the Dorma changes color and the king states that he is going to "Drain all the fighting spirits".[68]
With Nadi telling Natsu, Gajeel, and her about Mystogan and Pantherlily's conversation, they decide to take the blame and be the evil that Mystogan initially planned to be. Showing on the streets of Edolas, the demonic servant 'Marvell' tried to scare off a young child. The child, however, didn't budge much until servant 'Redfox' helped behind her back, sending the child fleeing.[71]
S-Class Trial arc
Later on, on the welcoming party the guild was having for Lisanna, Wendy notice the change in Juvia's hairstyle, commenting on how sad she looked. She then witnessed another guild fight.[72] Days later she praised Charle for being able to control her future vision's power.[73] As she was walking outside the guild when the briefing ended, Charle commented that she has a bad feeling about the exam and told Wendy that she 'absolutely cannot get involved'. Wendy, being the unconfident girl that she is, answered that nobody would want her to be their partner.[74] To her surprise, however, Mest showed up and by assuming a strange pose requested that she lend him her power much to Charle's chagrin.[75] He then explains that he wants to know more of the world of S class Mages and then lies in the icy river while Charlie tells Wendy not to trust such a weirdo but she goes to say she thinks he's a nice guy. This disagreement lead to a week of Wendy not speaking to Charle.[76]
Eventually Charle and Pantherlily arrive and immediately start interrogating Mest. Wendy pleads them to leave Mest alone but she is told to stay out of it. After Pantherlily states his reasons for Mest not being a Fairy Tail member, he teleports away and saves Wendy from an attack from one or the Seven Kin of Purgatory, Azuma. Mest gets excited and finally admits he isn't part of Fairy Tail, but the Magic Council, here to find dirt on Fairy Tail. Mest states there is a ship stationed here to end Fairy Tail, but Azuma destroyed it easily and prepares to battle Mest, Wendy, Pantherlily, and Charle.[82]
Later on, after Natsu and Zancrow have finished battling, a tired Wendy is seen healing Natsu and Makarov, with the worried cats watching over. She is confused as to why her healing isn't working on Natsu, and Makarov tells her that Natsu's muffler has been tainted evil by Zeref and that she needs to revert it to heal him.[87]
Some time later, Natsu wakes up to Wendy and the cats' delight. As he thanks her for fixing his muffler and clothes, she replies that it's fine. Natsu then smells a familar person whom he encountered on Galuna Island and asks Wendy if she can smell the person too, to which she replies that there are too many different smells for her to tell. Natsu says that the person is close and walks off despite Wendy's protests.[88]
Wendy is later seen greeting Natsu and Lucy when they arrive back. When Doranbolt appears he tells her not to worry because he will help all of Fairy Tail get off of Tenrou Island, but she like all the others present refuse and states that the island is the sacred land of Fairy Tail, and Master Mavis's resting place and they can't let it be attacked. She then notices massive clouds forming in the distance, and that the air made it felt like the sky was coming down.[89]
Wendy is then seen when she along with Lucy and Natsu try to convince Doranbolt to stall the council while they defeat Grimoire Heart.[90] As Wendy and the others take cover, she watches Virgo giving Lucy new clothes asks if she could have some as well and receives a set since Virgo's symbol is shown on her sock. Later when Charle returns, she, along with Lucy and Natsu try to head towards their camp but met up with and get beaten in one blow by Grimoire Heart member Bluenote Stinger.[91]
Wendy is then lying on the ground and shocked at the strength of Bluenote.[92] Wendy is surprised when Cana Alberona arrives and fights Bluenote.[93] She sees Natsu using his Fire Dragon's Roar on the ground to attack Bluenote and give Cana an opening for her to cast Fairy Glitter. However, it fails and she watches in horror as Cana was overpowered by Bluenote and is seen relieved and happy when Gildarts arrives to stop him from killing her.[94] Later when Azuma destroyed the Great Tenrou Tree, Wendy is seen collapsing along with the other members of Fairy Tail.[95]
After Erza defeats Azuma, Wendy and the others return to the camp and discover their injured friends. Wendy tries to heal them using her magic but Charle and Happy disagree with the idea since she already exhausted her Magical Power and suggest that she rests for a while.[96]
Magic and Abilities
Caster Magic User: Wendy is able to heal many people with relative ease.[97] [98] 
Sky Dragon Slayer: Wendy is the Dragon Slayer of the Sky, which means that she has the same power as Natsu Dragneel and Gajeel Redfox, but with the ability to manipulate air. Her Magic allows her to heal people from the most serious of injuries, even those caused by a dragon, allowing her to use even a kiss to heal other people and can even counteract other Magic. Her Magic also deals support effect, such as increasing attack and speed.[99] As stated by Charle, Wendy can eat air, but can't heal as well in polluted areas.[100] Her Magic also allows her to sense air currents and she can use it to predict the weather.
- Troia (トロイア Toroia): A type of healing Magic shaped in the form of a ball which Wendy used to heal Natsu's motion sickness.[101] It's effect is temporary as Natsu is seen to be affected by the boat travel after the effect was over. If she continuously uses it, the effects will become useless.
- Sky Dragon's Roar (天龍の咆哮 Tenryū no Hōkō): An air version of Dragon's Roar. When using this attack, she breathes a hurricane-like blast at her target. It is unknown what its strength is, but it was powerful enough to destroy one of Nirvana's Lacrima crystals, so it could be very powerful. So far this is the only offensive ability she has shown.[102]
- Vernier(瞬足 バニーア Banīa): A spell that speeds up the movement of the target, including the Caster itself, for a short period of time.[103] Incantation of this Magic, "fast wind that run the heaven....BANIA...."[104]
- Arms (剛腕 アームズ Āmuzu): After reciting an enchantment, the Caster then targets a region of the body in which to increase damage output, such as the arms, for a short period of time. Incantation of this Magic, "power of the stout arms that tears heaven...ARM.."[105]
- Arms x Vernier (剛腕 Ｘ 瞬足 Āmuzu x Banīa): Fused form of Arms and Vernier spells. This Magic is increases attack power of arms and speed of legs together.[106]
